Lubhu Khanepani Tatha Sarsafai Upabhokta Sanstha is a community-based organization located in Lubhu, Mahalaxmi Municipality Ward No. 8, Lalitpur, Nepal. Established on Baisakh 9, 2068 B.S. through a multi-party coordination committee, the organization is officially registered under the Water Resources Act, 2049, and the Water Resources Regulations, 2050, with the District Water Resources Committee in 2069 B.S. Its primary mission is to provide safe and clean drinking water to the residents of Lubhu while also promoting sanitation awareness. The organization currently supplies water to over 1,400 households through private taps and aims to expand service to more than 2,500 taps in the future. Water is sourced from the Lubhu Khola, treated, and distributed twice daily. However, seasonal challenges such as turbidity in the monsoon and scarcity in the dry season have prompted the installation of two deep tube wells to ensure consistent supply. Users can pay their water bills either at the organization’s office or through digital platforms such as IME Pay, PhonePay, and eSewa. Under the leadership of Chairman Mr. Ram Bahadur Shrestha, the Sanstha continues to improve water access and sanitation standards for the local community.
